Formed in 2005 and based in the creative hub of London’s East End, FDArchitecture are a design and executive architectural practice.

First established to provide a design service for a single retail Client, we are proud to have since developed a strong and varied portfolio in hospitality and high-end private residential projects. FDArchitecture have retained specialisation in the retail field, implementing and delivering stores for many of the best known luxury brands.

Our team of skilled, experienced and creative professionals is focused on providing a Client driven service.

We offer a complete architectural design and project management solution from concept to delivery. When acting as executive Architects, we perform this role with a developed design or a Brand Identity through to completion.

We are recognised for our ability to develop highly detailed design information and our project delivery expertise. Design management is central to this and to all aspects of our work, helping us consistently complete projects on time and to budget. The trust this has fostered has led to a large portfolio of repeat business.

Since formation we have developed excellent working relationships with similarly committed construction consultants, contractors and fabricators for each successful project.

Ian studied design in London. He was senior designer for a large licensed leisure company for more than 10 years before founding his own successful design practice, Focus Design, based in Winchester, UK. Ian’s experience in practice extends well over twenty five years and his work at FDArchitecture includes the design and execution of large commercial projects, particularly where there is an emphasis on design for leisure and he takes a lead role together with Paul Saltmarsh in our residential projects, always establishing firm and ongoing client relationships.

In this field especially in the last two years, Ian has worked increasingly closely with the international restaurant chain, Wagamama, and the London based business property specialist Workspace Group PLC assisting and facilitating both in the development of their property portfolios and in client liaison and negotiation.
In 2010 Focus Construction Management was set-up as a consulting and cost management organisation to assist clients in strategic planning of developments & roll out programs specialising in the leisure industry.

Paul Saltmarsh
Senior Associate

Paul studied Architecture in London before working with Stelle Lomont Rouhani Architects in New York then d-squared design and QADC in London. He fully qualified as an Architect in 2004 in London.

In his time with FDArchitecture particularly, Paul has established a broad range of projects including high-end residential, commercial refurbishment, premium brand retail, airside and landside airport facilities, landscape design and ‘experiential’ automotive retail design.
With more than 15 years of experience this has helped him develop a portfolio which is equally strong creatively as it is in delivery.

Paul has always actively encouraged his clients to consider sustainability, environmental issues and conservation throughout the brief and execution of any project. This is a key interest for the continued professional development of the practice.

Gosia Lewczuk

After obtaining a Master Degree in Architecture and having worked in professional practices first in Poland, Gosia moved to London in 2004 and she fully qualified as an Architect 2009.
